LoopTube Embed for WordPress
The free LoopTube Embed plugin turns a pasted LoopTube link into a YouTube player your readers can loop and slow down. Works with the block editor, classic editor and page builders.
Updated October 2026
LoopTube Embed is a free WordPress plugin that turns a pasted LoopTube link into a YouTube player readers can loop, slow down to 25–200% and jump between named sections, right inside the post.
WordPress only shows embedded players from sites on its built-in list, so a pasted LoopTube link stays a plain link and a pasted iframe can be stripped. The plugin adds LoopTube to that list.
It is made for music teachers, tutorial blogs and course sites: set the loop and sections once on LoopTube, paste the link, and every reader gets the same practice player.

How to do it
- Install the plugin. Download the plugin zip from this page, then in WordPress go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, choose the zip and activate it. (It is on its way to the WordPress.org directory, where you will be able to search for "LoopTube Embed".)
- Make a loop and copy its link. In the section builder at looptube.xyz/create, add the video, mark the sections and set a starting tempo, then copy the student link. (A link copied from the looper's address bar or Share button works too, with the loop but at full speed.)
- Paste the link into a post. Paste it on its own line, or add the LoopTube block from the inserter. In the classic editor or a page builder, use the shortcode: [looptube url="https://www.looptube.xyz/loop?vid=VIDEO_ID&start=10&end=30"].
What your readers will see
This is a live LoopTube player with three named sections. Press Play, pick a section and try the tempo control.
Shortcode options
Use a full LoopTube link: [looptube url="…"]. Or build one from a video ID: [looptube id="VIDEO_ID" start="10" end="30" tempo="75"] (tempo in percent). Add width="640" to set the player width.
Without the plugin
If you can't install plugins, paste the iframe from the LoopTube embed generator into a Custom HTML block. It works the same, but you lose the paste-a-link convenience and automatic resizing.
Questions
How do I embed a YouTube video in WordPress that readers can loop and slow down?
Install the free LoopTube Embed plugin, make the loop on looptube.xyz, and paste the link on its own line in your post. WordPress shows the LoopTube player, where readers can loop any section and slow it from 25% to 200% speed.
Does it work with Elementor, Divi or the classic editor?
Yes, through the [looptube] shortcode, which works anywhere WordPress runs shortcodes. The block editor also gets a LoopTube block.
Does the plugin slow down my site?
No. The player is an iframe that loads only where you embed one, and the plugin adds a tiny resize script only on those pages. Nothing runs on other pages.
Does it need an API key or account?
No. The plugin and the embeds are free.
Is my readers' data sent anywhere?
Embedding works like any YouTube embed: WordPress fetches the player's embed code from looptube.xyz once and caches it, and readers' browsers load the player from looptube.xyz and the video from YouTube. See the LoopTube privacy policy.
