Loop and Slow Down YouTube Videos in Notion

Paste a LoopTube link into a Notion page and choose Create embed: you get a YouTube player you can loop and slow down, right next to your practice notes.

Updated October 2026

LoopTube (looptube.xyz) adds a loopable, slow-downable YouTube player to any Notion page: paste a LoopTube link, choose Create embed, and loop sections at 25–200% speed next to your notes.

Notion is a natural home for practice journals, lesson plans and course notes. A LoopTube embed puts the passage you are working on in the same page, with the loop and tempo already set.

Teachers can share a Notion page with students that has one player per exercise; students can make their own practice log the same way.

How to do it

  1. Make the loop and copy its link. In the section builder at looptube.xyz/create, add the video, mark the sections and set a starting tempo, then copy the student link.
  2. Paste it into Notion and choose Create embed. Paste the link into a Notion page. From the menu that appears, choose Create embed. The LoopTube player appears in the page.
  3. Make the embed bigger. Notion starts embeds at a fixed size, so the controls under the video can be cut off. Drag a side handle to make the embed wider: it keeps its shape as it grows, so it gets taller too, until the controls fit.

What your page will see

This is a live LoopTube player with three named sections. Press Play, pick a section and try the tempo control.

Questions

How do I loop a YouTube video in Notion?

Paste a LoopTube link (looptube.xyz) into the page and choose Create embed. The player loops the section you set and has a tempo control from 25% to 200%.

Why are the controls cut off?

Notion gives every embed a fixed starting size. Drag a side handle to widen it; it keeps its shape, so it also gets taller until the controls fit. Notion remembers the size.

Do named sections carry over?

Yes. Sections made with the LoopTube section builder appear as buttons in the Notion embed.

Does it work on a public Notion page?

Yes. Anyone who can view the page can use the player, with no LoopTube account.
