At LoopTube, your privacy matters. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it. LoopTube is designed to work with minimal data — most of your settings never leave your own device.

What we collect and why

LoopTube is a practice tool, not a data business. The information we handle falls into two categories: data that stays on your device, and data that passes through our servers.

Data stored on your device (LocalStorage)

Your saved loops, tempo preferences, export format choice, and other settings are stored in your browser's LocalStorage — not on our servers. This means your practice data is private by default and disappears if you clear your browser data.

Server logs

Like all web servers, ours records standard access logs: IP address, browser type, referring page, and timestamp. These are used solely for security monitoring and aggregate analytics. They are not linked to any personal identity and are rotated regularly.

Contact enquiries

If you contact us by email, we retain your message and email address to respond to you. We do not add you to any mailing list without explicit opt-in.

Third-party services

YouTube IFrame API

When you use YouTube mode, the YouTube IFrame API loads inside the page. YouTube (Google) may set cookies and collect data about video playback in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy. LoopTube does not control or have access to this data.

Advertising (Mediavine)

LoopTube partners with Mediavine to display advertising on eligible pages. Mediavine and its advertising ("demand") partners use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to collect information about your visits to this and other websites — including IP address, device identifiers, and browsing activity — in order to serve and personalize ads and measure their performance.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how the app is used in aggregate (e.g. which features are popular). Google Analytics may use cookies and similar identifiers as described in Google's Privacy Policy. No personally identifiable data is included in these reports.

Advertising

Mediavine Programmatic Advertising (Ver 1.1)

The Website works with Mediavine to manage third-party interest-based advertising appearing on the Website. Mediavine serves content and advertisements when you visit the Website, which may use first and third-party cookies. A cookie is a small text file which is sent to your computer or mobile device (referred to in this policy as a “device”) by the web server so that a website can remember some information about your browsing activity on the Website.

First party cookies are created by the website that you are visiting. A third-party cookie is frequently used in behavioral advertising and analytics and is created by a domain other than the website you are visiting. Third-party cookies, tags, pixels, beacons and other similar technologies (collectively, “Tags”) may be placed on the Website to monitor interaction with advertising content and to target and optimize advertising. Without cookies you may not be able to take full advantage of the Website content and features. Please note that rejecting cookies does not mean that you will no longer see ads when you visit our Site. In the event you opt-out, you will still see non-personalized advertisements on the Website.

The Website collects the following data using a cookie when serving personalized ads:

  • IP Address
  • Operating System type
  • Operating System version
  • Device Type
  • Language of the website
  • Web browser type
  • Email (in hashed form)

Mediavine Partners (companies listed below with whom Mediavine shares data) may also use this data to link to other end user information the partner has independently collected to deliver targeted advertisements. Mediavine Partners may also separately collect data about end users from other sources, such as advertising IDs or pixels, and link that data to data collected from Mediavine publishers in order to provide interest-based advertising across your online experience, including devices, browsers and apps. This data includes usage data, cookie information, device information, information about interactions between users and advertisements and websites, geolocation data, traffic data, and information about a visitor’s referral source to a particular website. Mediavine Partners may also create unique IDs to create audience segments, which are used to provide targeted advertising.

Your rights

GDPR (European users)

Under GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of any personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectification — request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Erasure — request deletion of your personal data.
  • Restrict processing — ask us to limit how we use your data.
  • Data portability — request your data in a machine-readable format.
  • Object — object to processing based on legitimate interests.

We will respond to any request within one calendar month.

CCPA (California users)

California residents have the right to:

  • Know what personal data we collect and how it is used.
  • Request deletion of personal data we hold.
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal data. LoopTube does not sell personal data for money.Our use of advertising partners like Mediavine may be considered "sharing" data for cross-context behavioral advertising under CCPA/CPRA. You can opt out of this via the Digital Advertising Alliance's opt-out tool.

We will respond to any verified request within one calendar month.

Children

LoopTube is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data to us, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Data security

Because most data never leaves your device, the attack surface is small. Data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted with TLS. We apply standard security practices to our infrastructure and review them regularly.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Significant changes will be noted with a new "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of LoopTube after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
